The new season will start on September 1st 2007.... There will be seven divisions.. Elite, Premier, Div 1, 2, 3, 4, and Conference... We are currently in negotiations with two major companies re league sponsorship, hopefully we will be able to secure a one or even both.... There will be a meeting sometime in early August to discuss the proposed rule changes.... This would be an ideal time for players to pay their entry fees or arrange a time for payment....

There will also be a cup competition this season..... the format is currently under discussion....

******Important message to players******:--

This season we have afforded many players a great deal of leniency regarding playing of matches. We have done this for a number of reasons when players have come to us with difficulties. We have been heavily criticised for from some quarters. To those people we say we hope that, should you enter the league again, you do not have to come and ask for time extensions etc. You are likely to get them, but we will remind you of your insistence on sticking rigidly to the rules AND WE HOPE THAT WILL MAKE YOU FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE!

Because some people are still experiencing difficulties in finishing on time, the season will be extended by one month.

ALL MATCHES MUST BE PLAYED AND RESULTS SUBMITTED BY MAY31ST, WITHOUT EXCEPTION. AT THAT TIME OUTSTANDING RESULTS WILL BE RECORDED AS 0 - 0. DO NOT ASK FOR ANY EXTRA TIME BEYOND THAT POINT...YOU WILL NOT GET IT....WITHOUT EXCEPTION

Elite-- Swinger keeps the pressure on John Grimes with a close 4 -3 verdict over Steve Tedds... Grimes on the other hand went down 4 - 2 to John Martin before just edging passed Goose 4 - 3.. Sean Orr cemented his mid table position thrashing Al Jones 4 - 1.... Div 1-- Dave Mallabone takes a quick double over 'Swerve' & 'Joffers' to move into fouth place...

Elite-- Johnny Grimes took a giant step to claiming the Elite title when out potting Ben Swinnerton 4 - 1.... The pressure is now on Swinger to win his games in hand.... Goose has climbed into the top half of the table, this despite getting thumped 4 - 1 by Jona he recovered to beat Griff and Karl White 4 - 3... Prem-- The Vard did his promotion chances no harm when despatching tour star Steppy 4 - 2.... Steppy later beat Col Richards 4 - 1... Div 1-- Jase Page has gone pot mad and moves serenely into top spot.... Glynn Reardon and The Elf both being thumped by The Powerdish in the last week... Div 2-- Ant Tedds goes 4 points clear here thanks to wins over The Claw and Bill Brown.... Bill also notched a welcome win this week over Phil the Till 4 - 1.... Con -- Bobo beats his missus and Sam Howkins to go clear by 9 points... Sam and third placed Kyle Allen have games in hand but have to play one another which could work to Bobo's advantage.... John martin returned to action after the birth of his first child (congratulations JM) beating Karl White 4 - 3.. Does anyone know where Steve Self is? Steve Tedds sits second after edging 'Griff' 4 - 3..... Conf-- Sam Howkins remains on course for the title beating Steve Mckenzie 4 - 2... Kyle Allen moves into second place beating Yvonne Deacon 4 - 1... Rob Orton is third with one of 4 players vying for the last promotion place... Div 4-- Jamie Low potted his way to his first victory since November when beating Lee Howkins 4 - 1....

Fantasy Pool-- With Rich Caves reinstatement Urmm has now took over top spot from The Mystery Gole-Boys...Big D's Dynamos swap places with The Tard Boys with Pinneys Rams on the Rampage jumping a massive 8 places into fifth...

To all remaining players in Division Five, what can I say..... There is now only six of you.... Paul Retmanski, John Thomson, Carl Smith, Steve Cooper, Nick Conner and Nathan Boughtflower...... I've updated the league after all the withdrawals and it makes pretty sad reading but hey never mind.... pot on lads pot on..... Div 1-- Rich Cave has had to withdrew from the league through personal reasons... He offers his apologies and hopes to return some day probably after the eye op.... The table has been adjusted accordingly, once again I bow and say thank you!!!

Conf-- Sam Howkins regains top spot are narrow victories over Yvonne Deacon & Michelle Orton.... Div 4-- Luke Mills beats Alwyn 4 - 0 apparently Alwyn was lucky to get nil.... Div 3-- Sean Morris returns to the top spot after out potting Martin Ashby 4 - 2...

Karl White moves up to 2nd spot after beating Griff 4-3... Div 2-- Icky Singh continues to rule the roost here Mick McCool the latest victim of this serial potter... Paul Gibbs was on cue with a quick double over 'The Claw' & Phil the Till... he now goes 2nd but legend Pierre Flavelll has plenty of games in hand.. Div 3-- Amazingly Claire Quinney still leads the way in the division Martin Ashby the latest player to suffer at the hands of the pot mad Quinney... Gordon Bannerman also return to action after a brief spell away from the table smashing Glass Arm Burnett 4 -1... Div 4-- Kev McGukin moves into second place after easing passed Alwyn Deacon before edging passed Lewis Geddes 4 - 3.... Conf-- Bobo takes his Sunday luck with him and out pots The Flan in an epic match of total pool...The result moves him back to the top of the pile but the chasing pack have plenty of matches in hand to overtake Orton and put a little normality back into the table.....

Elite-- A night of pool at Rileys saw wins for Karl White who goes 3rd... Danny Evans and Andy Bassett.... Bert also later lost to Evanski 4 - 1...... Div 2-- Leader 'Tricky' Icky (a nickname he gave himself ( we still prefer 'Tardis')) anyway Ickster beat 'The Claw' 4 - 1 to maintain his lead over Pierre ' Triple L' Flavell who himself went one better beating Phil 'The Till' 4 - 0.....

Important Message to all players: If you change your phone number and don't tell anyone in your Division please don't phone to say no-ones been in touch.... They've probably been phoning your old number and leaving you messages...It's up to you to let your opponents know...thank you... Oh and while were on the subject if a home player has not made contact before the 14th.. could you please make sure when you phone to let us know you have the right bleeding month...thank you again.....

My apologies to all the players that have contacted me over the past two weeks... saying that they've sent there results in!! But they don't yet appear on the tables..... Well my little cueists I've been on a little trip with my good friends Carling & Fosters, along with their mum & dad Stella & Bud to Pisstville (pic) which is a little town in Sweden. I've had little time to update the leagues between my trips to Hangover Land, how the hell did I get home last nightsville plus an eventful trip to Shit-faced Falls. This trip nearly ended in disaster as the weather closed in but we managed to get a message out to the authorities (pic) Now that my eyesight is less blurry & I've stopped shaking maybe I'll manage to see which letters I'm pressing on my keyboard & I'll get on with it. But please be patient as I've took the scenic route back and will be staying in Rehab City for a few days. Many Thanks Al.......

Young Luke Mills keeps the pressure on Tedds with a nice double over the weekend beating Mick Golby & Jamie Low with apparent ease... Mr Low had the ultimate accolade for Mills saying he was the best player he'd ever played, high praise indeed but you've never played Bob Jefferies Jamie...lol

01/07/06:Div 3--Mr Ashby's attempt to finish his games before October is well under way so he's top at the moment. Lee Yorke is 2nd with two from two. The danger though is Geoff Chapman so we're told.. He's not shown up to his first two games.. he likes a challenge apparently.

01/07/06:Div 4-- Jason Farmer and Kelvin Tedds head affairs here and are favourites to take the title.. so we're informed.. Unfortunately for Jase though if their tied we're having a spell off for the title... And as Mr Farmer plays for the Poachers (see the Cue)..

01/07/06:Div 5-- Steve Thomas and John Thompson are two for two and clear... The dark horse in this league could be Lloyd Brookes!! I myself have picked Paul Retmanski as the danger here with a name like that he's got to be good at pool!!

22/06/06:-- Malc Postin has been taken ill and is currently in Hospital. Obviously his matches will be postponed until further notice......

22/06/06:-- MESSAGE TO ALL PLAYERS.......Due to a clerical error in the stationary department (Bob Fk'ed it up) some players got the wrong contact details. So there will be an amnesty this month and only this month on the first contact rule while this is sorted.........

22/06/06:-- Attention all Division Two players and yes you guessed it Chucky!!!..... Martin Golightly has withdrew from the league......He will be replaced by Magnum P.I. or Ade Pinnegar senior as he likes to be called now..... He's on his hols for the next two weeks so watch this space....

10/06/06:-- Attention all Division One players... Rod Brown has withdrew from the league. He has been replaced by Dave Mallabone....

05/06/06:-- After 2 weeks of trying to explain to a certain computer firm that... yes my computer is plugged in .....yes there is power going to it....yes I have tried turning it off and on again..... YES its still broken!!!!

23.05.06:-- All the spaces have now gone and 96 players will break off next month hoping too pot their way to a share of nearly £3000.

18.05.06:-- Thank you to the 30 or so players that picked their fixture packs up on Monday. Bob will be handing them out again at the Rose Inn on Thursday 24th and Monday 30th of June 8pm onwards. If you are reading this and know someone who hasn't picked there's up. Tell them or better still, come down have a pint and pick them up yourselves.

17/05.06:-- Fixture packs will be available to collect from the Rose Inn on Coton Road on Monday 22nd May. All outstanding prize money will be paid out.
