But Lions remain unbeaten in 2 years quite an achievement that... Nuneaton Top Guns also drew their last match with Rileys HP...

November 4th

Nuneaton 'A' have gone top after their 17 - 1 thrashing of Rileys HP. But they must rely on other teams falling over if they are to hold on to top spot. Reds 1 and Reds Elite drew 9 each and Rugby returned to winning ways with a comfortable win over Nuneaton Top Guns...

October 29th

Leamington & Warwick have withdrew from the league.... Their results have been taken off the League Table and averages table.

October 24th

Nuneaton Lions still lead the Interleague after their 12 - 6 victory over Rugby. The Lions new it would be a make or break game with Rugby because they have some really excellent players. But they were spurned on by the words of the Nuneaton A captain who had earlier phoned a Rugby player to ask them to beat the Lions... Nice!!! The lions had Danny Evans, Steve Tedds, Lee Steptoe and Keith Garner all with two wins with singles frames from Andy Bassett, Mark Chapman, Sean Orr and the A team bound Andy Yearby... The Top Guns had no answer to Reds Elite who were all in outstanding form. Dean Clarke the only Gun to fire away the Black... The Town didn't fair much better over at Reds going down 13 - 5 to Reds 1. Wins from Kev Balding, Stu Tedstone, Paul Barnett, Dave Rogers and Mark Gaynor.

September 13th

The Interleague Knock Out draw has been made pairing Nuneaton 'A' with a very strong Frank Smith and the useful Wolverhampton Wednesday 'B'. Meanwhile Nuneaton Lions have a much easier draw as they have no -one in their group... That's right!!! No one!!! Not even them.... DANNY u Numpty!!!!! L

September 11th

Nuneaton Lions come back from 7 - 2 down against Nuneaton 'A' to earn a draw... Excellent display by the Lions.... Nuneaton Top Guns beat Nuneaton Town 10 - 8 in a really strange match.... Mark Seaman won two...Swerve won two... Danny Barr won two..... Chucky broke dished.... stop pinching yourself.... Chucky broke dished lol.... more like he broke a dish clearing the dinner table... All this means the Lions still lead the table.... Nuneaton A move into second spot with Reds Elite third.....

July 31st

Nuneaton 'A' batter Rugby 16 - 2 to get their season right back on track... Nuneaton Lions just edge pasted a spirited Top Guns side but the performance of the night came from Nuneaton Town who were 6 - 0 down to Reds Elite then 8 - 2 down. They won 6 on the bounce to level at 8 each before losing the last 2 frames to be denied a much deserved draw.....

June 16th

Nuneaton 'A' potted their way to the Runners Up spot in the Warwickshire Knock Out cup, beating Leamington & Warwick and Reds 1 before succumbing to the exceptional cuemanship of Reds Elite in the Final... But they did more importantly gain automatic qualification for the finals at Yarmouth in October... Meanwhile the Lions have to wait and see they have a 3rd & 4th play off with Reds 1 shortly... Top Guns and the Town failed to grab a top four stop despite performing well on the day.. Top Guns finished a creditable 5th place with Town in 7th ..

So all teams have a bye the week you were scheduled to play them......Their results have been scraped and the tables adjusted accordingly... All this sees Nuneaton Lions roar to the top of the table... lol.. Reds 1 go second.. on fire Rugby slip to third with Nuneaton 'A' fourth...

April 21st

Nuneaton Lions edge Nuneaton Town 13 - 5 in a much closer match than the score line suggests... Poor finishing let the Town side down with several good chances not taken... It could easily been 14 - 4 ... lol.. no easily a draw...On another night it might well have been.... Nuneaton 'A' meanwhile held league favourites Reds Elite to a draw... but for poor finishing they might have won the match... It's quite strange to be disappointed with a draw against the Elite but Nuneaton should have put the game to bed earlier in the night.... Elsewhere the Top Guns match with Rileys Regulars was cancelled... We understand that Rileys Regulars could well have disbanded...As soon as we know you'll be informed.....

April 15th

Interleague returns this week with both Nuneaton 'A' & Nuneaton Lions hoping to put a disappointing Yarmouth behind them... The 'A' team host Reds Elite while the Lions entertain Nuneaton Town.. last but not least the Top Guns take on Rileys Regulars from Coventry...

March 31st

Best of luck to Nuneaton 'A' & Nuneaton Lions this weekend as they travel to the East Coast resort of Great Yarmouth for the Interleague finals. Nuneaton 'A' have been paired with Barking Phoenix & Littlehampton Select (Sussex).. The 'A' team will know how good Barking are as they were in the same group last year and they only just edged it.. So they will have to be on top of their game. Littlehampton on the other hand are somewhat of an unknown quantity but shouldn't be underestimated.. Tom Fahy tips Nuneaton 'A' to qualify.... Meanwhile the Lions will face Wolverhampton Wednesday and Great Yarmouth... Wednesday knocked Nuneaton A out in the last 16 in 2006 so will be a difficult team to beat. The Host's Great Yarmouth have several Norfolk county players. Lions on the other hand have one county player Jase Page... But they should take heart from this because he can't get in the first 9.....J... Tom Fahy tips Wolverhampton Wednesday to go through.. Me Too....lol.. But I'm sure the Lions Leg-end-ary Kipper Skipper Danny 'J-Fish' Evans will feel differently....
Nuneaton 'A' from Andy West, John Martin, Mark Chapman, Scott Varden, Ben Gilbey, Keith Garner, Neil Randle, Nigel Griffiths, Paul Willis & Karl Knight.
Nuneaton Lions from Danny Evans, Colin Richards, Baz Newnes, Andy Bassett, John Grimes, Alun Jones, Paul Webb, Jase Page, Karl White, Sean Orr & Andy Yearby.

Nuneaton 'A' edged a close match with the Top Guns 10 - 8 captain Andy West taking the all important last frame for the 'A' team. Nuneaton Town were bang on cue to take their first win of the season beating Rileys HP 11 - 7... A good month all-round for the Town....

qualify for the Knock Out finals in June

February 20th

Nuneaton 'A' beat Nuneaton Town but find the Town a tougher nut to crack this season. The Lions again waste chances and in the end were lucky not to lose to Rileys HP. They had Jase Page to thank for the draw although saying that the Rileys player did gift him the match. Top Guns also got beat, 11 - 7 by champions Reds 1. But once again it was close. The Town & Top Guns have certainly closed the gap on the rest of the Interleague teams... Watch out Nuneaton 'A' & Lions...
Good luck to Nuneaton Town who are at Reds this Sunday in the Knock - Out Trophy prelims. They face Rileys HP, Rileys Regulars and Leamington & Warwick.

29th January 2008

Nuneaton Lions waste a golden opportunity to beat Reds Elite. Missed chances cost them dear and they had to settle for a draw. Never the less that's a great result for the Lions. Nuneaton Town show they won't be push over's this season matching a very good Rugby side all the way to 8 all before losing the final 2 frames and the match. Nuneaton 'A' were missing several players on their visit to Reds 1 one of the main reason's behind their 12 - 6 defeat. Although new signing Graham Beale was awesome....

25th January 2008

The new season gets underway this Sunday. Three of the 4 Nuneaton teams are in action and all have very difficult games... Last season's runners up Nuneaton Lions face Reds Elite who have been strengthened due to their merge with Coventry Reds... Meanwhile events seem to go against Nuneaton 'A' who were just piped for the fourth automatic qualifying spot by 1 frame.. Some if I may say so... strange results meant they finished fifth!!!!!

26th November

Nuneaton Lions waste several good chances to beat Reds 1 and have to settle for a hard fought draw... But that's still a great result for the Lions... The A Team ease passed Rileys XX 11 - 7 and now just need to beat Rileys A to qualify for Yarmouth yet again... Meanwhile both new sides got a lesson in finishing Top Guns went down 13 - 5 to Reds Elite and Nuneaton Town by 14 - 4 to Rugby.... Both sides have struggled to adjust to the jump in class from the normal Sunday League.... But having said that both will be a lot stronger for the experience and will relish next seasons challenge.....Happy Potting....J

07th June

Interleague returns this weekend after a short break..... Nuneaton Top Guns are at home to Rugby... this match doubles as the 5th/6th play off for Yarmouth in October the winner will have a small chance of going the losers will have as much chance as the Blue Lion winning the Nuneaton Thursday league...Yes that's right ..no chance... Nuneaton Town travel to Rileys to play Rileys XX and must fancy their chances now captain Danny Barr can play 2 frames.... The Top Guns however have a tricky tie with Reds 1.... 25th April

A good weekend all-round for Nuneaton... Nuneaton 'A' out pot reigning champions Coventry Reds 12 - 6... And The Lions gain a creditable draw with Reds Elite...Although I can't believe we didn't win 7 - 2 up at the halfway point.... but they turned on the style in the 2nd section to tame the Lions..... Nuneaton Town gained their first win beating Rileys Regulars 11 - 7 with Wayne Ison and Claire Quinney the stars...  Nuneaton Top Guns also clinched their maiden victory beating Rileys XX 12 - 6...

28th March

Nuneaton Lions maul Rileys 'A' 14 - 4 to go third in the table... Andy Yearby in magical form ably assisted by Karl White & Jase 'Powerdish' Page... Nuneaton 'A' returned to winning ways thumping Rileys Regulars 15 - 3... Karl Knight, Nigel Griffiths and Johnny Martin all on fire!!! Nuneaton Town entertained the Elite and struggled to live with their more illustrious opponents but should take heart as the 14 - 4 score line didn't reflect how close some of the frames were.. Phil Sayer & Becs McCool both out potting former England International Steve Mullen... The Top Guns slumped to their third straight defeat losing to Coventry Reds 11 - 7... But it was a better all-round performance from the Gunners... Ian 'Swerve' Worthington claiming a fine double to finish Top Gun...

12th March

Nuneaton 'A' have drawn Barking Phoenix and Grove Elite in the Interleague finals at the end of the month.... It's a tough draw for us but there are not many easy game at Yarmouth. 28th February

Nuneaton Town register a creditable draw against Rileys 'A' who battered the Top Guns the match before... Captain Danny Barr leading the way with two frames joined by Dave Williamson and Chicco'... 31st January

Nuneaton 'A' suffer first match defeat going down to Reds 1 in a very close match 10 - 8... The Lions roared to Victory over the Town side (according to Daniel Evans) Lions winning 13 - 5...
