NORTHANTS YOUTH  versus WARWICKSHIRE YOUTH “B.”

Warks Youth “B” started the day against the Northants 'B'. Sam Whetstone & Lewis Deeley opened the scoring for the Bears, Northants took a few in reply. New boy Rich Johnson then took his first frame of the day, he was soon joined by Steve Martin, Hazel Payne and Matt Smith who all found their feet early in the first section... 6 - 5 to the Bears...

Dan Payne then got his first frame of the day to start the second quarter. After a tit for tat exchange the scores were level at the half way point... 11 Apiece..

The third quarter went the same way as both sides shared frames Ryan Morgan winning his first frame at County level and Thomas Tully also getting in on the Act the Bears edged 17 - 16 in front. 

With the match nicely balanced Warwickshire up their game and took seven of the last  eleven frames to finally beat a tricky Northants side....

Final Score: Northants “B” 20  –  24 Warwicks “B”

Man of the Match:- Matt Smith..4/4.. Warwicks “B” v Northants 'A'.

In their second match of the day the Bears took on the 9 man remnants of Northampton 'A'.

Buoyed from the way they ended their last match the Bears top guns were now firing on all cylinders, this provided a chance to put in a couple of new boys, Conor Holland & Rich Johnson.  Both players gave a good account of themselves during the match.

Final Score: Northants “ A” 18 - 26 Warwickshire Youth “B”.
